The Luxbanx Duo Small Strip Softbox from Impact is a versatile 12 x 36″ light shaping tool for strobe, LED, and fluorescent lights. It’s also useable with quartz lights up to 750W due to its heat resistant textured silver interior. When using the Luxbanx Duo with strobes, both the front diffuser and inner baffle can be used for maximum softening of the output. When using it with hot lights the inner baffle should be removed. Open face lights can be used as is but it’s recommended that you use the flood setting rather than spot on Fresnel sources. The soft box has 4 forward-opening vents to dissipate heat. Removing the front and inner diffuser essentially turns the Luxbanx Duo into a large reflector with maximum brightness and contrast.

The versatile Luxbanx Duo has an additional control via an optional fabric grid which mounts to the recessed lip of the softbox with touch-fasteners. The grid narrows and concentrates the light’s beam forward, controlling spill light and adding directional control to the Luxbanx Duo’s attributes. The long, narrow shape of the softbox make it ideal for side-lighting and hair-lighting in portraiture, tabletop work and up-lighting backgrounds. Every Luxbanx comes with a carrying case and a spare Flex Rod. Separate purchase of a speed ring that matches your light’s mount is required for use. Impact makes models to fit most popular brands.

Westcott pro stripbank, The narrow profile of the Stripbank provides for a great hair light for group portraits or getting sleek, elongated catch lights in product photography. Due to it’s narrow profile, this Stripbank is a perfect space saver when working in tight spaces.

If you are looking for a more specular look, use the standard inner baffle which will result in a hot spot in the center with a gradual 2-stop fall off to the outer edges.

A wide 2″ layer of look tape allows the front diffusion panel to either be recessed in for more direction and control or placed flush with the edge of the Stripbank for a wider lighter spread. In addition, this wide loop tape area provides for the attachment of accessories such as egg-crate grids.

Soft box is a type of photographic lighting device, one of a number of photographic soft light devices. All the various soft light types create even and diffused light by directing light through some diffusing material, or by “bouncing“ light off a second surface to diffuse the light.
